Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of yarotech.net and the Yarotech Website Update Service (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Yarotech (“Yarotech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. The Services
Yarotech provides IT services, cybersecurity, and technology consulting. The site at yarotech.net describes what we do and provides a contact form so prospective customers can reach us.
The Yarotech Website Update Service is an SMS-based tool that lets authorized customers and their staff request website content changes by sending a text message. Each text request triggers an automated workflow that interprets the request, applies the change to the customer’s site, deploys it, and texts back a plain-English confirmation. Access to the SMS service is invite-only.
2. Eligibility and authorized use
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. The SMS Update Service is available only to (a) customers of Yarotech and (b) staff members those customers have authorized in writing or verbally to send update requests on their behalf. You represent that you have permission to send any request you submit and that you have authority over the content you ask us to change.
3. SMS messages and consent
By providing your phone number to be added to the SMS Update Service, you consent to receive automated SMS messages from Yarotech in response to update requests you initiate. Message frequency is low and entirely user-driven. We do not send marketing messages through this service.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Reply HELP for help. Standard message and data rates may apply. SMS delivery is handled by Twilio in compliance with US carrier requirements (A2P 10DLC).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Request changes to websites, content, or accounts you are not authorized to modify.
- Send abusive, defamatory, hateful, or harassing content through the SMS service or the contact form.
- Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Services or the systems that support them.
- Use the Services to send spam or unsolicited bulk communications.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if you violate these Terms or otherwise misuse the Services.
5. Customer responsibilities (SMS Update Service)
If you are a Yarotech customer using the SMS Update Service, you are responsible for:
- Identifying which of your staff are authorized to send update requests and obtaining their consent to receive automated SMS replies before providing their phone numbers to us.
- Reviewing the live results of any change requested through the service in a timely manner, and notifying us promptly if a result is incorrect or unintended.
- Maintaining the accuracy of your hosting credentials, content sources, and authorized-sender list within the platform.
- Notifying us when an authorized sender should be removed (e.g., an employee leaves).
6. Intellectual property
The Yarotech site, brand, logos, and content are the property of Yarotech and its licensors. Customers retain ownership of their own website content. You grant Yarotech the limited rights necessary to operate the Services on your behalf, including making the content changes you request through the SMS Update Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yarotech disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific request will be carried out exactly as you intend.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yarotech and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Yarotech’s aggregate liability for any direct damages arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Yarotech in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
9. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or that continued access poses risk to the Services, to other users, or to Yarotech. Sections of these Terms intended to survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnities) will continue to apply.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
