Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Contact form submissions — when you use the contact form on our site, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the message you write.
• SMS service data — for authorized users of the Yarotech Website Update Service, we store the phone number(s) of each authorized sender, the text of update requests they send, an audit log of when requests were received and processed, and the content of automated reply messages we send back. The administrator collects each phone number directly from the authorized person during onboarding, with their explicit consent.
• Technical data — standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp) and minimal analytics needed to diagnose issues and protect the site.
• Leaderboard data (optional) — if you choose to submit a score to the in-page mini-games and provide a display name, that name and the score are stored on the server and shown publicly on the leaderboard.

How we use information

• To respond to inquiries you send us.
• To operate the SMS Update Service: routing your request to the correct customer folder, applying the change, and texting you a plain-English confirmation or follow-up question.
• To diagnose, secure, and improve our services.
• To comply with applicable law, respond to legal process, and protect our rights, users, and the public.

SMS Opt-In Policy

The Yarotech Website Update Service (the “SMS Service”) is an A2P 10DLC two-way SMS program that lets authorized customers and their authorized staff request website-content changes by text message. This section is our opt-in policy for that program.

SMS opt-in is voluntary. Enrollment in the SMS Service is never required as a condition of any Yarotech service or transaction. Customers can use Yarotech’s IT services, cybersecurity consulting, website management, and any other Yarotech offering without enrolling in SMS. Declining to enroll, or opting out after enrolling, has no effect on your access to Yarotech’s other services.

Voluntary consent is captured before any SMS is sent

We will not send an SMS message to any phone number until we have captured explicit, affirmative consent from the holder of that number. There is no automatic enrollment. Consent may be captured through any of the following methods:

• Web form (preferred): the enrollment form at yarotech.net/sms-updates requires two unchecked-by-default consent checkboxes that the user must affirmatively check: (1) agreement to receive automated SMS messages from Yarotech in response to update requests they send, and (2) confirmation that they are an existing Yarotech customer or staff member authorized by one. Submission is blocked unless both boxes are checked.
• Verbal consent (phone): during onboarding, a Yarotech administrator describes the service over the phone and obtains the recipient’s explicit verbal agreement to receive automated SMS messages before adding their number. Call notes recording the consent are retained.
• Written consent (email): for recipients enrolled via email correspondence, we retain the email in which they confirm enrollment in the SMS Service.

What the recipient is consenting to

Each consent capture records that the recipient understands: (a) they will receive automated SMS messages from Yarotech only in direct response to website-update requests they themselves send; (b) message frequency is low (typically 1–5 messages per day, user-initiated); (c) they can reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help; and (d) Msg & data rates may apply. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this service.

Mobile information will not be shared

Mobile information (including phone numbers) collected for the SMS Service will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share SMS data only with the service providers required to operate the program (Twilio for message delivery) and only the minimum data each one needs to do its job. We do not sell, rent, or trade mobile data.

Records and retention

Consent records (form submission record, call notes, or email), opt-in date, and any subsequent opt-out events are retained for the period required under US carrier requirements (A2P 10DLC) and applicable law. Recipients may request a copy of the consent record we hold on file at any time.

Opting out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Reply HELP for help. Reply START to opt back in after a previous STOP. Opt-out and help replies are handled automatically by our messaging provider (Twilio) in compliance with A2P 10DLC. You can also call (800) 696-4165 or email info@yarotech.net to be removed from the program manually.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share information only with the service providers we use to operate the business — for example, Twilio for SMS delivery, our hosting provider for the website, and email service providers for contact-form messages — and only the data each one needs to do its job. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

Data retention

Contact-form messages and SMS service audit data are kept as long as needed for operational purposes and then deleted on a rolling schedule (typically 90 days for routine logs and longer for records we are legally required to retain). You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Your choices

• Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing us.
• Disable cookies in your browser if you prefer; the site does not rely on third-party tracking.

Children

Yarotech’s services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means.
