This Privacy Policy explains how Yarotech ("Yarotech", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our website at yarotech.net, our contact form, and the Web Agent websiteâupdate service through which our customers request changes to their websites (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and inquiry details â when you fill out our contact form or reach out to us: name, email, phone, company, and the content of your message.
- Websiteâupdate requests â if you use the Web Agent, the messages you send through your private chat link (and any files you upload, such as photos, logos, or documents) so we can make the changes you ask for.
- Account and customer details â information needed to set up and support your account, site, and hosting.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data â IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar log data when you visit yarotech.net.
- Cookies and similar technologies â used to run the site, remember preferences, and understand usage.
If you use SMS (where offered): your phone number and the text messages exchanged with the service. See §7.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including building and updating your website when you request it;
- respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- secure the Services, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
- keep records, comply with law, and enforce our terms;
- improve the Services; and
- send serviceârelated communications (for example, confirmations, notices, and responses). We do not send marketing text messages through the Web Agent/SMS service.
We rely on the automated and AIâassisted tools described in our Terms of Service to carry out websiteâupdate requests.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers ("processors") who help us run the Services â for example, website hosting, email delivery, content delivery and security, SMS delivery (if used), and the automated/AI tools that carry out changes. They may access information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
- For legal reasons â to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Yarotech, our customers, or others.
- In a business transfer â as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your direction or consent.
Website content you ask us to publish becomes publicly visible on your site â do not send us anything through the chat that you don't want on your website or retained in our records.
5. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services, support your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Chat/request history is retained to provide continuity of service and a record of changes.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at info@yarotech.net. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
- Michigan / U.S.: we honor applicable state privacy rights.
- Marketing email: you can unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email (note: most Web Agent messages are service messages, not marketing).
7. SMS terms (where SMS is used)
If you are enrolled in an SMSâbased version of the service: by providing your phone number, you consent to receive automated service SMS messages you initiate. Message frequency is userâdriven and low; we don't send marketing texts through this service. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Standard message and data rates may apply. SMS delivery is handled by our messaging provider in compliance with U.S. carrier requirements (A2P 10DLC). Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only to operate the service and are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption of sensitive credentials, access controls, and mandatory twoâfactor authentication for administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Thirdâparty sites
Our site and the sites we build may link to or use thirdâparty services with their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for those third parties; review their policies.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
